William Shatner's : Mysteries Of The Gods ~ A 1977 Film

William Shatner, well known as James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, in the science fiction television series Star Trek presents this 1977 documentary movie about our Extraterrestrial Origins and the lesser known reality of an ET intervention in our history many thousand years ago which helped shape our civilization and who we are today ...

William Shatner explores the theory that the U.S. government is involved in a cover-up of visiting alien spacecraft.

Based on a book, 'Miracles of the Gods' by Erich Von Daniken, this documentary contains evidence of extraterrestrial life here on earth.

Proof discovered through photographs taken by scientists and evidence of actual voyages found by archaeologists.

Everything from the Peruvian Crystal Skull to the megalithic structures in the jungles of Southeast Asia is accepted as evidence for the Ancient Astronaut theory. Cave drawings, old legends, Biblical stories and even some psychic visions of late Jeane Dixon are understood as facts, all of which point to the truth behind the UFO/ET Reality.

Life After Life : NDE Documentary Film

"Life After Life" is a documentary film on Near Death Experiences, based on Raymond Moody's book by the same name. Definitely a must see for all as it dispels a lot of fear surrounding death in people's minds and brings to light the truth about our eternal existence.

Raymond Moody's book documents the experiences of 150 people who recovered after being declared clinically dead. Moody is also credited for coining the term "Near Death Experience".

Some quotes from “Secrets of the Light” by Dannion Brinkley ...

“The Beings of Light said, “History is not carved in stone; we have the power to change the future.”

“During my first near-death experience, I vividly recall how … impressed upon me was the fact that we are “great, powerful, mighty spiritual beings.”

”Our spiritual potency grows in direct proportion to the way in which we direct our willful, conscious intent towards effecting change in our lives, the lives of others as well as the world at large. The changes we willfully influence, whether positive or adverse, will in turn create a ripple effect throughout the entire Universe. This occurs invariably because we are One. As cliché a saying as you may feel that has become, it still remains gospel.”

“Every single thing that one of us thinks, says, or does impacts all the rest of us, in varying degrees, on one level or another. Please stop for a moment to deeply absorb what you just read …”

” From this perspective, it becomes easy to find our true purpose in life … We choose to come here as a ‘Force of One’ in order to make changes for the betterment of humanity, knowing that we are capable of making a real difference.”

“Our fundamental purpose in life is to discover our uniqueness and then learn to manifest it for the betterment of humanity, through Love. This holds true if you are a singer, a street sweeper, or a saint. If you truly want to know why you are here and exactly what Spirit wants you to do or be, ASK! … when you attain the curiosity and courage to ask for higher guidance, Spirit will reveal everything still held in mystery. Discovering your own mission puts you in a position of responsibility. From this point on, you must act as a torchbearer for others who still struggle with their spiritual identity. Thereby, your life stands as a testament and demonstration that they can do exactly as you have done.”

“The truth is that we have actually been entrusted with the fate and destiny of the world. Please understand this; we bear the great responsibility of transforming the spiritual reality of this physical realm.”

“We chose to be alive at this time, at this place and at this point in history. Never before have we had such a glorious opportunity to display our individual power and presence.”

Lloyd Pye : Starchild Skull : Proof Of Genetic Engineering

Did ancient astronauts who came to Earth thousands of years ago genetically engineer us humans from an already existing primate species ?

Well, there have been many researchers who believe so and we now have historical and scientific evidence to prove this to be a fact, however less known among social circles as we are mostly conditioned to believe in certain creation myths and stories propagated through our educational system and religions.

One such undeniable proof of genetic engineering and our true intergalactic origins is the 'Starchild Skull' investigated by Lloyd Pye. Lloyd Pye is Director of the Starchild Project, a research organization that has been investigating the Starchild Skull since February of 1999. The Starchild Skull is a human-like bone skull independently radiocarbon dated at 900 years old (+/- 40 years). It is unlike any other skull that has ever been found or presented for inspection.

Are Humans Designed To Eat Meat ?

We live in a world which is hugely conditioned to believe what we believe, without even attempting to find out for ourselves the hows and the whys of our reality. So we easily buy into others ideas, some projected ideas ...

We come into this world and acquire all sorts of ideas and notions based on this
"consensus reality" we hold dear as our dogma, not realizing the role of the individual and collective in manifesting the reality we experience. One of these ideas is that humans are omnivores, hence eating meat is natural for us.

After having seen this brilliant documentary called "Supercharge Me!" (which is all about the Raw Food Diet and it's health benefits) and reading a couple of articles on the subject, I am left with no doubt in my mind that avoiding eating meat is definitely a healthier choice ! There are numerous compelling facts presented in these articles which cite all the reasons why we weren't designed to eat meat ...

The prominent Swedish scientist Karl von Linne states, "Man's structure, external and internal, compared with that of the other animals, shows that fruit and succulent vegetables constitute his natural food." The chart below compares the anatomy of man with that of carnivorous and herbivorous animals.

When you look at the comparison between herbivores and humans, we compare much more closely to herbivores than meat eating animals. Humans are clearly not designed to digest and ingest meat.

Meat-eaters: have claws

Herbivores: no claws

Humans: no claws

Meat-eaters: have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue

Herbivores: perspire through skin pores

Humans: perspire through skin pores

Meat-eaters: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding

Herbivores: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Humans: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Meat-eaters: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly

Herbivores: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Humans: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Meat-eaters: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat

Herbivores: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Humans: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Meat-eaters: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.

Herbivores: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits

Humans: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Meat-eaters: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Herbivores: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Humans: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Based on a chart by A.D. Andrews, Fit Food for Men, (Chicago: American Hygiene Society, 1970)

Soul Proof : Documentary Film

"Soul Proof" is a documentary film which shows nine categories of evidence that convincingly prove that we are all infinite spiritual beings.

There are many people interviewed from all walks of life who share their personal stories about near-death experiences, after-death contacts, miracles, religious revelations, and much more. Also included are interviews with renowned experts in these fields.

Taken together, these reports clearly indicate that consciousness precedes and survives physical death. This collective evidence demonstrates that—despite your outward physical appearance—you truly are an indestructible being of energy.

This proof allows us to live more fully, without fear, and with purpose. This information will convince you that life is a totally safe and magnificent adventure amidst eternity. Then you can enjoy full potential living.

The Soul Proof film also opens a doorway to dialogue that has been largely closed due to fear. Imagine a grandmother who sees her departed husband, but is afraid to tell others for fear of being considered crazy. What would it mean to our world to have such discussions be welcomed, not shunned ?

For the first time on film, the full spectrum of proof is presented in a fascinating and informative 90 minute film.

The nine categories of evidence:

1. After Death Contacts
2. Near Death Experiences
3. Miraculous and Revelatory Events
4. Scientific Input
5. Paranormal Evidence
6. Religious and Spirituality Teachings
7. Peri-Natal Findings
8. Reincarnation Evidence
9. Firsthand Experience and Inner Knowing

Phenomenon : The Lost Archives ~ Genesis Revisited

"Phenomenon - The Lost Archives: Genesis Revisited" is a 1998 documentary series by Zecharia Sitchin which presents evidence of a civilization ruled by emissaries from another world as revealed in the ancient tablets of man.

Historian and Archeologist Zecharia Sitchin uncovers the lost and hidden archives of the Annunaki: Extra-planetary visitors who over 6,000 years ago inspired what is thought to be the earliest civilization known to man; Sumeria. From the sacred stone tablets of this culture, many of the teachings of the earliest inventors, philosophers and biblical scholars once thought mythical, are now known to be true.

Where did these Annunaki come from? Sitchin says and NASA scientists concur, that there may be a mysterious 10th member to our solar system: The planet the Sumerians called, Nibiru.

Introduced by Dean Stockwell who played Al Calavicci "The Observer" in the TV show "Quantum Leap".

Through The Wormhole ~ Documentary Series Season 1

"Through The Wormhole" is an American Television Documentary Series hosted by Morgan Freeman which explores the deepest mysteries of existence — the questions that have puzzled mankind for eternity.

What are we made of? What was there before the beginning? Are we really alone? These questions have been pondered by the most brilliant minds in history. Now, modern science may be able to provide us with answers.

Through The Wormhole – Is There A Creator?

It’s perhaps the biggest, most controversial mystery in the cosmos. Did our Universe just come into being by random chance, or was it created by a God who nurtures and sustains all life?

The latest science is showing that the four forces governing our universe are phenomenally finely tuned. So finely that it had led many to the conclusion that someone, or something, must have calibrated them; a belief further backed up by evidence that everything in our universe may emanate from one extraordinarily elegant and beautiful design known as the E8 Lie Group.

Through The Wormhole – The Riddle of Black Holes

They are the most powerful objects in the universe. Nothing, not even light, can escape the gravitational pull of a black hole. Astronomers now believe there are billions of them out in the cosmos, swallowing up planets, even entire stars in violent feeding frenzies. New theoretical research into the twisted reality of black holes suggests that three-dimensional space could be an illusion. That reality actually takes place on a two-dimensional hologram at the edge of the universe.

Through The Wormhole – Is Time Travel Possible?

Einstein's Theory of Relativity says that time travel is perfectly possible — if you're going forward. Finding a way to travel backwards requires breaking the speed of light, which so far seems impossible. But now, strange-but-true phenomena such as quantum nonlocality, where particles instantly teleport across vast distances, may give us a way to make the dream of traveling back and forth through time a reality.

Through The Wormhole: What Happened Before the Beginning?

Every cosmologist and astronomer agrees: our Universe is 13.7 billion years old. Using cutting-edge technology, scientists are now able to take a snapshot of the Universe a mere heartbeat after its birth.

Armed with hypersensitive satellites, astronomers look back in time to the very moment of creation, when all the matter in the Universe exploded into existence. It is here that we uncover an unsolved mystery as old as time itself – if the Universe was born, where did it come from? Meet the leading scientists who have now discovered what they believe to be the origin of our Universe, and a window into the time before time.

The big bang theory holds that the entire universe was once packed tightly into an unimaginably dense and tiny space, known as a “singularity.” That is, until roughly 13.7 billion years ago, when a colossal burst of energy and pressure started to give rise to entire worlds, galaxies and interstellar particles, forming the universe as we know it today.

But what brought about that big bang? Physicists are left scratching their heads at that question. Since the universe began on such a tiny level, the laws of relativity don’t fully apply. Instead, quantum theory, which deals with the lawless and bizarre world of the very small, must also be summoned.

Successfully answering the question of what existed before the big bang would require bridging the gap between the so-far mutually incompatible worlds of relativism and quantum mechanics. But even though that bridge has yet to be constructed, theories abound.

“Our universe could have either popped into existence or collided with another universe,” theoretical physicist Michio Kaku told scienceline.org. “Big Bangs happen all the time.”

Through The Wormhole: How Did We Get Here?

Option 2 (Watch on Novamov)

Everywhere we look, life exists in both the most hospitable of environments and in the most extreme. Yet we have only ever found life on our planet. How did the stuff of stars come together to create life as we know it? What do we really mean by ‘life’? And will unlocking this mystery help us find life elsewhere?

About 4.6 billion years ago, our solar system resembled a giant cloud of swirling cosmic dust, hydrogen and other gases. As with the thousands of other such clouds in our galaxy, some of these molecules began condensing, gathering and creating their own gravity.

Eventually these small clumps formed what became our sun — a star surrounded by a quickly moving, flat disc made up of the cloud’s leftovers. These leftovers also developed into our solar system’s planets, asteroid belt and other interstellar bodies.

Through The Wormhole: Are We Alone?

Aliens almost certainly do exist. So why haven’t we yet met E.T.? It turns out we’re only just developing instruments powerful enough to scan for them, and science sophisticated enough to know where to look. As a result, race is on to find the first intelligent aliens.

But what would they look like, and how would they interact with us if we met? The answers may come to us sooner than we imagine, for one leading astronomer believes she may already have heard a hint of their first efforts to communicate.

Through The Wormhole: What Are We Made Of?

Our understanding of the universe and the nature of reality itself has drastically changed over the last 100 years, and it’s on the verge of another seismic shift. In a 17-mile-long tunnel buried 570 feet beneath the Franco-Swiss border, the world’s largest and most powerful atom smasher, the Large Hadron Collider, is powering up.

Its goal is nothing less than recreating the first instants of creation, when the universe was unimaginably hot and long-extinct forms of matter sizzled and cooled into stars, planets, and ultimately, us. These incredibly small and exotic particles hold the keys to the greatest mysteries of the universe. What we find could validate our long-held theories about how the world works and what we are made of. Or, all of our notions about the essence of what is real will fall apart.

What are we made of? The question has rankled scientists and philosophers for millennia, and even with the amazing progress made in fields like particle physics and astronomy, we are left with only a partial answer. We know, of course, that the visible world is composed of protons, neutrons and electrons that combine to form atoms of different elements, and we know those elements are the building blocks of the planets and stars that give rise to solar systems and galaxies.

What we didn’t know until very recently, however, is that those protons, neutrons and electrons appear to form less than 5 percent of the universe, and questions remain about how these building blocks arose. If regular matter represents only a small slice of the universe, what is the rest of the universe made of?

Such questions prompted the construction of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) beneath the border between France and Switzerland. As the world’s largest particle accelerator, experts designed the LHC to recreate conditions that occurred shortly after the very foundation of universe itself. Here are a few of the mysteries scientists hope the LHC and other particle accelerators can shed light on.

Through The Wormhole: Beyond The Darkness

What is the universe made of? If you answered stars, planets, gas and dust, you’d be dead wrong. Thirty years ago, scientists first realized that some unknown dark substance was affecting the way galaxies moved.

Today, they think there must be five times as much dark matter as regular matter out there. But they have no idea what it is — only that it’s not made of atoms, or any other matter we are familiar with. And Dark Matter is not the only strange substance in the Universe — a newly discovered force, called Dark Energy, seems to be pushing the very fabric of the cosmos apart.

The composition of the universe may seem straightforward, something you mastered back in your junior high science class — galaxies made up of planets and stars, stars made up of burning gases and dust. But this idea of the universe only includes the parts that we can see, either with the naked eye or even with powerful telescopes.

According to scientists, the visible portions of the universe account for less than 95 percent of what is actually out there in the great expanse of space. Much of the universe is made up of something we can’t see. We call this something “dark matter,” and we only discovered its existence because something else was missing.

Magical Egypt : A TV Documentary Series

"Magical Egypt" explores another side of Egypt that is not so widely known. Egypt is also the land of secrets. Another history, a secret history, tells of Egypt as the inheritor of deep wisdom and magical ability from an even earlier culture. It is the account of the Egyptians themselves. This alternate history is echoed by parallel accounts from the myth and history of other ancient cultures, as well as myriad secret societies and occult sources. The remarkable number of parallels in these stories provides a unique window into this other Egypt.

A new kind of counterculture is emerging around the unexpected discoveries of a small but growing circle of scientists, authors and researchers. The focal point of this counterculture centers on an alternative interpretation of ancient Egypt – not as mankind’s earliest attempts at primitive civilization, but as a fully developed, and inexplicably advanced culture, who’s scientific and metaphysical achievements we are only beginning to fully appreciate.

Experiencing Cosmic Oneness : Awakening To Self

We greet each other: "How's life?" Do we really expect an answer? In a way, perhaps, there is no answer.

For rarely do we lead our lives consciously. A mechanical and programmed, life is a rut. So much so that there is no life in living. That is the ultimate irony. T S Eliot wondered: "Where is the life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? And where is the knowledge we have lost in information?"

When was the last time you did something spontaneously? Make an effort to recall what was the last occasion when you stopped by to look at a tree. Not to observe it as a botanist and divide it into its trunk, branches, flowers and fruits. Or subdivide the flowers further into sepals, petals, stamens and pistils. But to live and experience the sublime wholeness of the ethereal being of the tree. To marvel for a moment as to how the tree is able to stay rooted to a spot for years on end. Derive its sustenance with contentment and a peace that passes understanding. Lead a life of profound fulfillment, without frittering away its energy in the restless pursuit of pleasure. In spite of being endowed with only the ability to perceive the sense of touch.

Feel the coarse trunk of the tree, firm, erect and rooted. See the nerves of the roots fanning out with their tentacles into the soil, embedding themselves firmly underground. The roots are like an umbilical cord, strongly binding and bonding the tree to the womb of mother earth.

Like the tree itself, you then begin to resonate with the hum of the earth. Pulsate with the stately rhythm of the celestial symphony. Deep down feel a sense of profound belonging and oneness with the cosmos. With the drama of existence. With the cosmic web of reality. With all that there is.

Look at the resplendent full moon on a languorous summer night. Now and then the moon pulls aside the curtains of clouds, looks all around to make sure that all's well with the world, and then quickly disappears behind the curtains once again.

When you are fully absorbed in the sky and the clouds, when you are in communion with the tree, then you cease to be a cog that is out of whack with the wheel of the universe. You cease to exist as a being separate from the universe, there is a distinct sense of identity. When the illusion of separateness and distinctness peels off like false skin, then you are in a state of selfless self-awareness.

William James testifies to this numinous state of being. "I have on a number of occasions felt the enjoyment of a period of intimate communion with the divine. These meetings came unasked and unexpected, and seemed to consist merely in the temporary obliteration of the conventionalities which usually surround and cover my life. What was felt on these occasions was a temporary loss of my own identity."

Our body-mind-brain complex is a system whose very existence depends on its continuous interface and interaction with a larger universal system that it seamlessly integrates with and is an inextricable part of. It is only our sense of identity that blinds us to this unity. When the sense of self gets removed, we remember that we belong to the cosmic ensemble. Or rather, we are the cosmic ensemble. When your self-consciousness, the sense of 'i' disappears, then your soul radiates the effulgence of the divine with an intense luminosity.

The Business Of Being Born : Child Birthing Documentary

'The Business of Being Born' is a 2008 documentary film that explores the contemporary experience of childbirth in the United States. Produced by Ricki Lake, it compares various childbirth methods, including midwives, natural births, epidurals, and Cesarean sections. The film criticizes the American health care system with its emphasis on drugs and costly interventions and its view of childbirth as a medical emergency rather than a natural occurrence.

This documentary is a must see for all who would like to shed their inhibitions and fear based misconceptions surrounding child birth, the natural way.

The film documents actual home births and water births. They follow a midwife, Cara, in New York as she takes care of and attends several births. They then give the audience several shocking statistics about our current birthing techniques and challenges today's doctors. For example, the United States has the second worst newborn death rate in the developed world. Many experts are interviewed and they cite a multitude of reasons for this dismal statistic such as the overuse of medical procedures in the interest of saving time.

The Psychedelic Experience : Entheogens, DNA & The Double Helix Structure

It's not a widely known fact that Crick was under the influence of LSD when he discovered the double-helix structure of DNA and that this supreme achievement of scientific rationalism, for which he won the Nobel Prize, came to him in an altered, even mystical state of consciousness. Until his death in 2004 Crick remained an atheist, deeply committed to the materialist view of reality.

Nevertheless he was unable to accept that the DNA molecule could have assembled itself by accident. So he came to the idea that perhaps life originated on Earth this way: perhaps billions of years ago on the other side of the galaxy, doomed by a supernova, some ancient alien civilization sought to preserve its DNA, and he suggests that bacteria - perhaps with genetically engineered DNA inside them - were sent out into the Universe in spaceships. Eventually one of those ships crashed into the early Earth, and the bacteria containing that DNA began to reproduce, and the whole story of evolution as our scientists tell it started there. Once we have the DNA, evolution becomes plausible. Until we have the DNA, it's difficult to explain.

The Cosmic Serpent : DNA and the Origins of Knowledge is a 1995 non-fiction book by Jeremy Narby. Narby performed two years of field work in the Pichis Valley of the Peruvian Amazon researching the ecology of the Ash. Moreáninka, an indigenous peoples in Peru.

Investigating the connections between shamanism and molecular biology, Narby hypothesizes that shamans may be able to access information at the molecular level through the ingestion of entheogens, specifically Ayahuasca. Biophysicist Jacques Dubochet criticized Narby for not testing his hypothesis. Narby and three molecular biologists revisited the Peruvian Amazon to try to test the hypothesis, and their work is featured in the documentary film, Night of the Liana.

Peter Russell : The Global Brain ~ ✿ Gaian Spirit ✿

The Global Brain is a fantastic short documentary by Peter Russell on the awakening of human consciousness to it's inherent unity with the absolute.

The documentary begins with Peter Russell speaking about the spiritual experience of astronauts going into space who view Earth from a celestial point of view where all illusionary boundaries that keep us separated and divided dissolve ... The Astronauts experienced Earth as a living being and realized how all life in all it's multiplicity and variety is essentially a part of Gaian Consciousness, the Global Brain ...

In the book, 'The Global Brain' Peter Russell shows that humanity has reached a crossroads in its evolutionary path. The Internet is linking humanity into one, worldwide community - a "global brain". This, combined with a rapidly growing spiritual awakening, is creating a collective consciousness that is humanity's only hope of saving itself from itself. However, Russell warns if we continue on our current path of greed and destruction, humanity will become a planetary cancer.

Selling more than 100,000 copies and translated into ten languages, his seminal work, The Global Brain, won acclaim from forward thinkers worldwide. It was regarded by many as years ahead of its time, and its original predictions about the impact of computer networks and changing social values are now being realized.

Peter Russell, who holds advanced degrees in theoretical physics, experimental psychology and computer science, makes no apologies for presenting what may seem like a Utopian theory. He advises, "The image a society has of itself can play a crucial role in the shaping of its future. A positive vision is like the light at the end of the tunnel, which, even though dimly glimpsed, encourages us to step in that direction".

Sean Penn's Into The Wild Movie

Into the Wild is a 2007 American film based on the real life adventures of Christopher McCandless. It was directed by Sean Penn, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars Emile Hirsch, William Hurt, Marcia Gay Harden, Jena Malone, Catherine Keener, Brian Dierker, Vince Vaughn, Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Stewart, and Hal Holbrook.

Into the Wild recounts the true story of Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch), a student-athlete at Emory University, as told by his sympathetic sister, Carine McCandless (Jena Malone). In rejection of a materialist, conventional life, and of his parents Walt McCandless (William Hurt) and Billie McCandless (Marcia Gay Harden), who McCandless perceives as having betrayed him, McCandless destroys all of his credit cards and identification documents, donates $24,000 (nearly his entire savings) to Oxfam, and sets out on a cross-country drive in his well-used but reliable Datsun toward his ultimate goal: Alaska and, alone, to test himself and experience the wilds of nature. He does not tell his family what he is doing or where he is going and does not communicate with them thereafter, leaving them to become increasingly anxious and eventually desperate.

Along the way his automobile is caught in a flash flood and he abandons it to hitchhike after burning what remains of his dwindling cash supply at the side of Lake Mead, Arizona. He then creates a new name: Alexander Supertramp. Along his travels, he encounters a hippie couple Jan Burres (Catherine Keener) and Rainey (Brian H. Dierker). As McCandless continues his travels, he decides to work on a farm owned by Wayne Westerberg (Vince Vaughn). However he is forced to leave after Westerberg is arrested for satellite piracy. McCandless then goes up at the Colorado River and when he is told that he may not go down by kayak without a license, he acquires a Perception Sundance 12 open-water kayak and, followed by the river police, paddles downriver eventually all the way into Mexico. There his kayak is lost in a sandstorm and he crosses back into the United States. Unable to easily hitchhike, he starts traveling via freight train to Los Angeles. Not long after arriving, however, he starts feeling "corrupted" by modern civilization and decides to leave. Later, McCandless is forced to switch his travelling method back to hitchhiking due to rough security.

McCandless then arrives at a hippie commune, Slab City and encounters Jan and Rainey again. At the commune, he meets Tracy Tatro (Kristen Stewart), who becomes attracted to McCandless. McCandless decides to continue his goal for Alaska, much to everyone's sadness. McCandless then encounters a retired but lonely leather worker, Ron Franz (Hal Holbrook) in Salton City, California. After spending several months with Franz, McCandless decides to leave for Alaska and Franz gives him gear to use. Franz offers to adopt McCandless as his grandchild, but McCandless tells him that they should discuss this after McCandless returns from Alaska and Franz becomes extremely saddened by his departure.

Nearly two years after leaving his family, McCandless crosses a stream in a remote area of Alaska and sets up camp in an abandoned Fairbanks Transit bus, the "Magic Bus", used as a shelter for moose hunters. Initially McCandless is exhilarated by the isolation, the beauty of nature around and the thrill of living off the land as the spring thaw arrives. He hunts and gathers, and reads books, and keeps a diary of his thoughts. However life becomes harder; his supplies start to run out and although he kills a moose the meat is spoiled by flies and maggots. He realizes that nature is also harsh and uncaring. Ultimately on his journey of self-discovery, he concludes that true happiness can also be found in sharing, and in the joy of realization seeks to return from the wild to his friends and family.

However, to his despair McCandless finds that the stream that he crossed has become a violent torrent and he cannot return; he is trapped by nature. He is forced to return to the Magic Bus but now as a prisoner; having previously insisted on being self-sufficient he is no longer in control of his fate and can only hope for help from the outside. As his supplies run out, he is forced to gather and eat roots and plants. He has a book to help him to distinguish edible from inedible, but he confuses similar plants and is poisoned. He slowly and painfully starves. In his final hours, he continues to document his process of self-realization and accepts his fate, as he imagines his friends and family for a final time.

The epilogue occurs two weeks after his death when his body is found by moose hunters. The movie ends with a picture of him, found undeveloped in his camera from before he died. It tells that his sister carried his ashes from Alaska to the eastern seaboard by plane with the ashes in her backpack.

It premiered during the second edition of the Rome Film Feast. The film premiered outside of Fairbanks, Alaska on September 3, 2007, and the film was given a limited release on September 21, before a wide release on October 19.

"...but you are wrong if you think that the joy of life comes principally from the joy of human relationships. God's place is all around us, it is in everything and in anything we can experience. People just need to change the way they look at things."

Panspermia : We Are The Aliens Documentary

The idea that life on Earth came from another planet has been around as a modern scientific theory since the 1960s when it was proposed by Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe. At the time they were ridiculed for their idea – known as 'Panspermia'. But now, with growing evidence, it's back in vogue and even being studied by NASA.

We meet the scientists on a mission to get to the bottom of the beginnings of life on Earth - from the team in Texas who are lovingly building a robotic submarine called DEPTHX to explore a moon of Jupiter, to Southern India where they are investigating a mysterious red rain which fell for two months in 2001. According to local scientist Godfrey Louis, the rain contains biological cells unlike any he had seen before – with no DNA and the ability to replicate at 300°C. Louis has come to the conclusion that the cells are extraterrestrial in origin.

Could all this really be proof that 'We Are The Aliens' ?

Panspermia : Its own origins and evolution ...

The idea that the seeds of life are ubiquitous throughout the cosmos goes back to Anaxagoras, a Greek philosopher. In the 1800s, French chemist Louis Pasteur proposed that spontaneous generation of life could not have occurred on Earth. British physicist Lord Kelvin and others jumped on Pasteur's bandwagon and suggested that life might have come from space.

But modern-day panspermia advocates have been the Rodney Dangerfields of science.

In fact, just two leading researchers carry the bulk of the panspermia torch. The renowned Sir Fred Hoyle, known for his studies of star structure and the origin of the chemical elements in stars, has worked with Chandra Wickramasinghe over the past three decades to pioneer the modern theory of panspermia.

In the 1970s, Wickramasinghe and Hoyle found what they say are traces of life in the dust around distant stars. The duo then broadened the panspermia theory, arguing that a continual rain of life altering stuff from space, including germs that arrive in cycles related to solar activity has affected the course of evolution. The seeds, they say, are still coming.
